      Fletcher Farm School for the Arts & Crafts
              May 6 - 7 Print & Stitch
                   Explore a variety of printing methods on fabric and paper to use as a base design ready to embellish with stitching.
                   Students will use textured surfaces for printing and overprinting. Layers of sheers and nets over the printed surface will
                   create unique effects for machine and hand stitching.
             June 13 - 15 - North-woods in Stitches
                  Create a piece of stitchery inspired by the woodlands. Students will use dis-solvable stabilizers, fibers, fabrics and
                  threads stitched on a sewing machine free motion adding hand stitching for texture.

Workshops & Teaching

I am available for teaching workshops as my schedule allows, please contact me for contract and information.

  • Workshops can be a 1 day basic introduction, 2 day, average class length to a one week intensive. Ongoing classes set at intervals can also be arranged.
  • Workshops offered in basic to advanced machine embroidery, creative hand stitching and mixed media experimental work. Traditional embroidery techniques will include some historical background. 
 
My teaching background is extensive having taught beginners to advanced levels in England and various workshops in the USA.
